How should I clean my door and/or windows when they get dirty?
Consult your owner’s manual for specific manufacturer’s instructions. Mild soap and water usually works well for exteriors.
When will I have to re-stain or do a new clear coat on my new door?
Severe sun exposure may require top-coat maintenance on stained door exteriors every few years.
Will NEXT Door & Window stain or paint after install?
Actually, we prefer to “pre-finish” even before installation. Everything is installed complete and we even fill nail holes and any touch-ups. Would you order kitchen cabinets unfinished? NEXT Door & Window is confident that this process offers you the best finish system possible. No smells, no mess, etc. Some products even come straight from the factory finished.
Will I need to re-caulk the exterior soon?
NEXT Door & Window only uses the industry’s best caulk products. It is an oil-based silicone that will last for years, so there should be no reason to re-caulk for a long time.
Will I have to paint the exterior of my windows periodically?
No, NEXT Door & Window installs low maintenance exterior products and even the exterior trim is custom wrapped in aluminum.
Who do I call if there is a service issue?
Next Door & Window has a full installation and service team with 20 trucks in the field. Just call or click and talk to a door and window professional immediately. If a house call is needed, we will schedule a convenient time with one of our service professionals.
Do you offer full frame replacement with new casing?
We offer full frame installation with all new interior casing, or insert installation where your existing interior casing stays. Our professionals can explain both options and offer the best one for your home.
What is the difference between the foam insulation and the other stuff?
Our low expansion window and door foam is specially designed for window and door installations. It expands to fill voids sometimes missed by fiberglass batt insulation.
Does NEXT Door & Window deliver the windows to me before install?
NEXT Door & Window stores all products in our warehouse until the day of install. No need for you to take up valuable garage space.
Do I need to take off work for installation?
Some doors can be installed in as little as 4 hours. An entire house of windows can take from 1-4 days. NEXT Door & Window attempts to make the installation process easy.
